A meeting of dance and song (age 4 and up)<\/h3>\n

Dedicated to the poetic universe of Jacques Pr\u00e9vert, Pierre-Paul Savoie’s new creation is called Playing Hooky<\/em> (French title: L\u2019\u00c9cole buissonni\u00e8re<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Through a cycle of song and dance celebrating childhood and its effervescent imagination, Playing Hooky<\/em>\u00a0takes place in the playground and classroom, finding what’s fun and poetic for some kids but also a marginality for others. The lively, light-hearted choreography spurs the quartet of versatile dancers to sing too.<\/p>\n

For this project, Pierre-Paul Savoie continues his fruitful collaboration with composer Beno\u00eet C\u00f4t\u00e9 who wrote the music for Tales for Naughty Children<\/a> and The Chairs<\/a>. Based on poems and texts by Jacques Pr\u00e9vert, C\u00f4t\u00e9’s original music for Playing Hooky<\/em>\u00a0will be performed by singers Alexandre D\u00e9silets and Amylie.<\/p>\n
